Two pedestrians have sustained serious injuries after being struck by a light motor vehicle on Annet Drive in the Reservoir Hills area on Saturday morning.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle allegedly lost control before colliding with two pedestrians who were walking on the pavement. The vehicle then continued and struck a stationary light motor vehicle.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services, together with other emergency service providers, responded swiftly to the scene. Upon arrival, medics assessed and stabilized both patients, who had sustained critical injuries. They were thereafter transported rapidly to nearby medical facilities for urgent medical treatment and further assessment.
The exact circumstances leading up to the crash cannot be confirmed at this stage and remain subject to investigation. All emergency services were in attendance.
