Multiple people sustained injuries after a white Toyota Hiace collided with a wall at a creche in Waterloo – KZN today (Tuesday, 16/06/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out at approximately 17:19 after the Operations Centre received reports of a motor vehicle accident on Crocodile Road.
Upon arrival, Reaction Officers established that the taxi left the roadway and crashed into the wall of a creche building. The vehicle was transporting eleven (11) occupants at the time of the incident.
According to information received on scene, the driver had attempted to make a left turn when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle. The mini bus left the roadway and crashed into the wall of the creche.
Multiple occupants sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. The vehicle sustained extensive damage to the front section, right side and windscreen due to the impact.
