Just before 7am this morning ALS Paramedics responded to a horrific collision on the M4 near Virginia offramp, North of Durban.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find carnage as they found two badly damaged vehicles obstructing both sides of the Highway.
Three occupants from both vehicles had sustained critical injuries and immediately Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize them on the scene. Due to the severity of one of the injured the Air Mercy Aeromedical Helicopter was called to assist in rapidly transporting the patient to Hospital. The highway was closed whilst emergency personnel worked to clear the scene. Two patients were transported by ALS Paramedics to hospital for the further care that they required.
At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further….
