A serious truck crash has occurred on the N1 South at Gordon Road, resulting in multiple injuries and potential fatalities. The incident involved a truck, a Jaguar, and a panel van.
Emergency services and Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) officers are currently on the scene attending to the injured. Preliminary reports indicate that the truck, travelling northbound on the N1, lost control at Gordon Road, veered across the centre median, and collided with the other vehicles. The truck subsequently landed on the N1 Southbound.
Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes on the N1 North and Southbound at Gordon Road are currently blocked. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
Suggested alternative routes include using 14th Avenue for southbound traffic and Albertina Sisulu Road for northbound traffic.
