Thirteen people were left injured this morning when a taxi crashed into a traffic light on Houghton Drive in Parktown, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi parked on the side of the road against a traffic light. Several people were found walking around on the scene.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found that thirteen passengers had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
