What are the most beautiful places in South Africa According to You?

The Republic of South Africa comprises many charms of the Dark Continent. This may be difficult for some of you to visit all those beautiful places during your holidays. So, let me make it a bit easier for you. I have shortlisted the best places to visit in South Africa. Let’s reveal why these places should be in your South African itinerary.

Kruger National Park:

South Africa is known for wildlife safaris and It is the Kruger National Park that offers the best African Safari experience. I had accommodated in Johannesburg and taken a 4-hour drive to Kruger National Park. I was excited to see the big five: lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard, and rhino in this national park. The transportation facilities for safari were great, therefore we got lucky.

Kgalagadi (Kalahari) Transfrontier Park:

The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is located in the Kalahari Desert. Area wise, it is one of the largest wilderness places on this planet. This park was established in 2000 and since then it has been a key tourist attraction in the Northern Cape. Golden grasslands, thorn trees, deep blue skies, and red sends make it a truly remarkable place to spend a holiday in South Africa.

I know you want to see those royal creatures of South Africa and this park has plenty of them. Here you can see that renowned black-maned lion, numerous nests of weavers, beautiful gemsboks, numerous species of birds, and meerkats. Predators like hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards also increase the wildlife charm of this Transfrontier Park.

Cape Town City:

Although there are numerous places surrounded by natural beauty in India, nothing seems as beautiful as the Cape Town city. It is simply remarkable. It is the second most populated city in South Africa. Undoubtedly, you can spot many NRIs in this city.

Wildlife safaris can be tiring and a refreshing halt in Cape Town will reenergize you for the remaining journey. What I like the most about this city is its situation between rugged mountain ranges and the sparkling green water sea. Here I enjoyed hiking, sightseeing, and many other exciting activities that you cannot enjoy on Indian tourist spots.

Stellenbosch town:

We Indians always praise Bhutan for the natural beauty it features. The Stellenbosch also features something similar. There are panoramic wine yards, white-washed Cape Dutch dwellings, ages old Oak trees, and many other things. It is a well-preserved town in the country, providing tourists with remarkable sceneries during their vacations.

Drakensberg:

In English, Drakensberg means Dragon’s Mountain and that’s what this mountain is. It comprises the highest peak in South Africa and it is surrounded by many renowned tourist attractions. Here I chose to visit the Royal Natal National Park, uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, Giant’s Castle Game Reserve, and Amphitheatre. The experience was simply sensational.

Addo Elephant National Park:

Elephants have always been featured as calm, intelligent, and kind animals in our movies. They truly are amazing and I experienced their company in the Addo Elephant National Park. There are so many elephants and all of them have special brownish skin because of the red soil of the park. Here you can see elephants roaming freely in the natural environment, which is quite a soothing thing to see.

Hermanus:

This location was a total surprise for me because I had never thought to see southern right whales. We visited Hermanus and it was the most unforgettable moment when the migrating whales appeared in the sea. Watching such a huge sea creature was a bit intimidating, but at the same time very exciting too. You should also go for whale watching because you may not get that opportunity in India.

Apart From Beautiful places,What else you prefer as a Travel Blogger when travelling to a different country?

I prefer three things on my vacation trip as an Indian, a great tourist place to enjoy the holiday, delicious meals, and world-class hotels for accommodation. South Africa features more than what we expect and its wildlife and natural attractions are simply remarkable. Therefore, you must plan a trip to South Africa and you should not miss any of the listed places to visit during your journey.
