The streets of Durban will be buzzing with excitement on Sunday, 22 July 2018 when runners from all walks of life #RunUnited in support of PinkDrive.
According to Janice Benecke, PinkDrive KZN Administrator, it is inspiring to see thousands of women come together to spread the message that early detection saves lives. “A primary focus of PinkDrive is to educate women on general breast health, teaching them to perform self-examinations. We believe in empowering and strengthening women to fight against cancer, and what better place to be than at the Totalsports Women’s Race. The vibe at the event is really festive and it’s lovely to see runners of all ages #PimpThemselvesPink in support of PinkDrive.”
“Everyone is so excited to either start or even just support this event,” continues Benecke. “PinkDrive was really well supported at the 2017 event. We reached 7100 runners, examining 192 ladies with no referrals. We had many women come to thank us for our services and dedication to the cause. We really appreciate the feedback and it is always our pleasure to assist anyone in need. This year PinkDrive will once again be very involved with the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban. We will be performing clinical breast examinations and education. Runners can approach our nurses for advice and/or assistance. Don’t miss the PinkDrive stand both at race pack collection and on event day. Runners are encouraged to bring their wallets, show support and help us get our message across.”

PinkDrive will be present at the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban offering FREE clinical breast examinations and educating on the importance of self- breast examinations.
