Stillwater Sports, the organisers of the FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN are excited to announce that the 2018 event (taking place on Sunday, 14 October 2018) will boast a whopping Prize Purse of R250 000.

“We are proud to increase the Prize Purse of the FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN from R212 000 (in 2017) to R250 000 in 2018,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director Stillwater Sports.  “That’s a whopping R38 000 increase since the event’s inception in 2017.  This increase would not have been possible without the valued support from event sponsors as well as that of the entrants.  A mass participation 10km road run, the FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN highlights the true beauty of Durban while granting entrants the unique opportunity to explore their city and run Durban their way.”

“Building on the precedent set in 2017, the FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN will once again attract an elite field of local and international athletes,” continues Meyer.  “This definitely adds to the excitement on event day.  Prize Money will be awarded to the top ten men’s and women’s finishers in the open category with the overall winners each taking home R30 000.  Prize money has also been allocated to the top three finishers in the junior, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+ age group categories.  We look forward to witnessing some exciting racing on event day.”
