As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations event organisers are excited to announce that the AfricanX Trailrun presented by ASICS will also boast a new Festival Village in 2018 with the picturesque Boschendal Wine Estate stepping up to the plate as the new home of South Africa’s premier three day stage trail run.
“2018 will be a big celebratory year for the AfricanX Trailrun,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Not only will we celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary, but after five action-packed years in Grabouw we’re excited to move venue for a second time, this time welcoming the magnificent Boschendal Wine Estate as the new home of AfricanX.”
“Firmly nestled in the Cape Floral Kingdom, Boschendal is renowned for its beauty,” continues Meyer. “Its backdrop of sweeping mountain ranges, deep ravines and imposing peaks will guarantee a trail running experience like no other. AfricanX runners can look forward to new trails and new challenges, but the same awesome AfricanX vibe. We have a few more exciting innovations planned, but are not yet ready to let the cat out the bag. For now trail runners are encouraged to secure their entries and prepare for a trail running experience like no other.”

EVENT INFORMATION:
Teams of two (male/female/mixed) will be seen putting teamwork and endurance to the test when they battle it out on a route that will vary in distance between 22 – 34km each day. The three routes have been planned in such a way that the runners will have the opportunity to tackle a different breath-taking scenic route each day.

FORMAT: Three-day stage race / teams of two (male/female/mixed)
VENUE: Boschendal Wine Estate (Franschhoek)
DISTANCE: Between +- 22km – +- 34km each day

There are three entry options:
- R6400 per team – this includes breakfast and lunch, but excludes dinner and accommodation
- R7500 per team – this includes breakfast lunch and dinner, but excludes accommodation.
- R8600 per team – this includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and tented accommodation at Boschendal Wine Estate.
