Swimmers taking on the 5th annual Sanlam Cape Mile brought to you by Sanlam Investments at the Eikenhof Dam (Elgin Grabouw Country Club) on Sunday, 17 February 2019 will be treated to sweet sounds compliments of prominent South African pop band, the Stone Jets.

Consisting of Manfred Klose on guitar, Eduan Joubert on drums and Given Nkanyane on vocals and bass, the Stone Jets made their Stillwater Sports debut at the 2018 Origin Of Trails MTB Experience in November.

“The Origin Of Trails was the first MTB event at which we performed,” admits Nkanyane.  “It was such a rush. Being a part of the day was great, knowing that we were the soundtrack to rider victories.  The Sanlam Cape Mile will be our first open water swim.   It never ceases to amaze us where music seems to fit in.  We cannot wait.  We look forward to seeing people conquer both their mental and physical fears.  Hopefully our music will help them acknowledge and celebrate their victories.  Swimmers can expect a swell of sweet sounds and songs of strength and success.”
