Excitement builds as trail runners countdown the days to one of Stellenbosch’s most iconic trail runs, the Savanna Origin of Trails Trail Run Experience that will take place at the picturesque Blaauwklippen Wine Estate on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June 2021.
Celebrating its 3rd anniversary in 2021, this will be the first year that the Savanna Origin of Trails Trail Run Experience will take the form of a two-day stage race.
“Stellenbosch is known for its spectacular trail network,” confirms Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the event. “With so many stunning route options to choose from, it just makes sense to host the event over two days. Each stage will feature a different route that is guaranteed to keep things exciting. Trail runners can look forward to challenging, yet fun and rewarding routes that will reward them with spectacular views. Each route will showcase the splendor of SA’s most well-known town.”
“Each entrant will receive an official event technical t-shirt, a finisher’s t-shirt and a medal,” continues Meyer. “A light breakfast pack and coffee each morning will give runners energy for the day ahead, while a scrumptious lunch pack with complimentary drinks will help runners to refuel after each stage. Entrants are guaranteed a trail running experience like no other at the 3rd annual Savanna Origin of Trails Trail Run Experience. Entries will be closing soon (22 June). We would like to encourage trail runners to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”

Launched in 2018, the Savanna Origin of Trails Trail Run Experience will treat runners to the best trails on offer in Stellenbosch. Entrants can look forward to challenging, yet fun and rewarding routes with spectacular views.

Day 1: between 22 – 25km
Day 2: between 15 – 17 km
Entry Fee: R950.00 per entrant
