“Let Nature Give You A Run For Your Money”

Trail runners are invited to join the THIRSTI AFRICANX Training Run #4 at Paul Cluver Wines, Grabouw (Western Cape) this coming Saturday 05 March 2022.

“This coming weekend’s THIRSTI AFRICANX Training Run #4 will be the final training run before the 2022 THIRSTI AFRICANX TRAILRUN Three-Day Stage Race gets underway,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the event. “By now entrants should be able to run between 18 – 32km, so the Training Run #4 route will be longer than that of the last three training runs. Trail runners can look forward to experiencing a 22-25km route that will start at the picturesque Paul Cluver Wines in Grabouw. The route will feature a good mix of smooth single track, more technical terrain, vineyard roads and jeep tracks with some nice climbs added in for good measure. Usually closed to the general public, Paul Cluver is a trail runner’s dream venue. Runners will get a really good taste of what to expect from the THIRSTI AFRICANX TRAILRUN Three-Day Stage Race routes.”

“The Training Run gives trail runners the perfect opportunity to test teamwork and race nutrition, while getting a better understanding of what to expect from the upcoming event’s routes,” confirms Meyer. “Runners will also get to meet trail runners that will be lining up with them on the start line at the Three-Day Stage Race. This is the last chance to take on the Training Run alongside event ambassadors. Seasoned THIRSTI AFRICANX trail runners, the ambassadors are always eager to offer advice and guidance. We can’t wait to treat runners to a true THIRSTI AFRICANX experience on Saturday. Get ready to ‘Let Nature Give You A Run For Your Money’.”

A uniquely sourced natural spring water that is rich in minerals, THIRSTI, a proudly South African brand, became the proud Title Sponsor of the THIRSTI AFRICANX TRAILRUN in 2021.
