Entries are open for SA’s ‘MTB Party of the Year’, the Savanna Origin of Trails, that will take place at Coetzenburg (Stellenbosch University) on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November 2022.
An individual 2-day MTB Stage Race, the Savanna Origin of Trails routes highlight the beauty and splendor of Stellenbosch. Mountain bikers can look forward to experiencing a vast network of world-class and exclusive trails while celebrating the origin of SA mountain biking. Event organizer, Stillwater Sports together with title sponsor, Savanna brings new meaning to the phrase ‘MTB Party of the Year’ with the addition of exhilarating offerings including live performances by a well-known SA comedian, exciting sponsor competitions, an exclusive Pub Ride through Stellenbosch, the option to stay in the First Ascent Tented Village, a Best Dressed Competition, an event party for riders on Saturday evening, and more.

SA’s ‘MTB Party of the Year’ is back in 2022 and together with Savanna and First Ascent we look forward to offering an experience like no other in Stellenbosch, the home of mountain biking. DRESS UP COMPETITION: Stage Two of the Savanna Origin of Trails (Sunday 20 November) will be Dress Up Day. The two best dressed riders will receive R10 000 in cash as well as ten cases of Savanna (each).
