Sergio Marakis, a defensive midfielder from South Africa, with a triple nationality: Portuguese, South African and Greek, returned to tread the lawns of the 1st Portuguese League last weekend (08/26/2018), after entering on the 27th minute of the game against Vitória de Setúbal. Just over 60 minutes were enough to impress everyone, and take on a big role for the team’s first win this season.
Currently in CDN Nacional da Madeira , Marakis is one of the starters to face one of Portugal’s biggest teams tomorrow, Sport Lisboa Benfica, who secured a 4-1 win against Paok on Wednesday for the Champions league.
On his last year of contract, Marakis has been approached by several clubs knowing that in January he will be able to sign a new contract for next season. Knowing this, many international scouts, including Manchester United will be present tomorrow in the next fixture to observe SLBenfica and Marakis.
The game will be live on Sporttv at 6:30 p.m.
