Taking place at Coetzenburg (Stellenbosch) on Saturday, 07 and Sunday, 08 April 2018 and Wiesenhof Wildlife Park (Stellenbosch) on Saturday, 17 and Sunday, 18 November 2018, the Fedhealth IMPI Challenge Cape Town supports five charities including the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).
Sea Rescue is the charity that saves lives on South African waters, through Education, Prevention and Rescue. The NSRI’s rescue crew, technical experts and board of Directors consist of unpaid volunteers. Our crew respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
“We have 37 rescue bases around South Africa with our Head Office in Cape Town,” confirms Krista Lazzari, NSRI Events. “We’ve been participating in the IMPI Challenge since 2013, and just like the IMPI Warriors, our rescuers have a culture of personal fitness and determination. We never shy away from a challenge.”
“It is an honour to be chosen as one of the charities of the IMPI Challenge,” continues Lazzari. “We are reliant on the generous financial support of sponsors and donors to fund our rescue operations. Most donors are individuals who give a donation of R50 a month. The funds raised through our involvement with the IMPI Challenge will go towards the purchasing of personal protective equipment for our volunteer crew across our rescue bases countrywide.”
