93 killed in western Uganda’s tribal attacks

Kampala – The Ugandan police on Sunday said a total of 93 people were killed, including ten security officers, in the western part of the country’s tribal attacks.

Uganda’s deputy police spokesperson Polly Namaye said in a statement that the July 5 tribal attacks and criminal activities in Kasese, Ntoroko and Bundibugyo districts resulted into the loss of 93 lives and property worth millions of shillings.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Gen. Kale Kayihura has since camped in the Mount Rwenzori region to bring an end to criminal activities and coordinate the arrests of culprits and the recovery of missing guns…
