“Among those worst affected [things], the most horrible is a completely trashed office of the chief editor, i.e. mine, including my computer. Among other [things] damaged: the man [attacker] ‘took a special fancy’ to Macs. He damaged two Macs, we’re looking whether we will be able to repair them or not,” Editor-in-chief of Russia’s Snob magazine Kseniya Chudinova wrote on Telegram.
She added that her team was currently looking at other pieces of affected equipment that raise greatest concerns.
A video showing how an unidentified man broke into the office of the Russian ‘Snob’ media outlet and stole equipment was released on Monday by Telegram channel Mash.
The incident comes after earlier reports stated that an unknown man broke into the office of another Russian media outlet, Kommersant, in Yekaterinburg. According to local police, the offenders damaged computers and stole Winchester disks that had been kept in offices of the media’s director general and editor-in-chief.
