The beaches, deserts, mountains, wildlife and weather are definitely a drawing card.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Swakopmund, Namibia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"489\" height=\"326\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5394 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/sohail.png\" alt=\"sohail.png\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/sohail.png 489w, https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/sohail-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 489px) 100vw, 489px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Swakopmund is the largest coastal town and resort in Namibia and a rather unique town.\u00a0 There are many colonial buildings due to the strong German connection and community that lives there. It\u2019s known as \u201clittle Germany\u201d with an African touch. Take an early morning walk into town and you will spot the German architectural history of the past that has been looked after and preserved for many years, look out for popular landmarks such as the Mole, which is an old sea wall, the Lighthouse and the Museum. Swakopmund is striking in that on one side is the desert with beautiful rich colours of sand, from rust, to gold to beige and on the other sparkling rich blue ocean. You\u2019ll want to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonhotels.com\/swakopmund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stay in Swakopmund<\/a> as it has so much to offer anyone; any age considers it a destination of choice.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sossusvlei, Namibia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Sossusvlei is a desert in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lonelyplanet.com\/namibia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Namibia<\/a> that is an unspoilt, natural desert beauty.\u00a0 Sossusvlei is known for its large, red brown sand dunes. It offers some of the tallest sand dunes known in the world and is a popular tourist attraction. Sossusvlei is a clay and salt pan located in the largest conservation region in Africa. The sand dunes are natural wonders and are forever changing shape due to wind coming from all directions. The dunes offer so much activities and experiences that will be cherished. From sand-boarding and quad-biking on the dunes, hot-air balloon flights and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uganda <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"501\" height=\"335\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5395 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/uganda.png\" alt=\"Uganda.png\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/uganda.png 501w, https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/uganda-300x201.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 501px) 100vw, 501px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uganda is really beautiful with its lakes, waterfalls, mountains, tea plantations and lush forests and, of course, gorillas. The mere mention of Uganda will lead to a discussion of the movie, Gorillas in the Mist and you will be encouraged to go on the popular Gorilla Trekking Tour. There are tours of Gorilla tours in Bwindi Forest. There are short and longer tours to choose from. You will get to see these beautiful animals in their natural environment in the tropical rainforests they call home. Never forget that you are out in the wild and as much as these huge gorillas may seem gentle and loving when interacting with each other, don\u2019t interact with them but rather just enjoy the experience from the sideline. Uganda is known to creep into your heart and have you yearning to return again.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Tanzania (Climb Mount Kilimanjaro) <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Tanzania is a country known for its immense wilderness and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mount_Kilimanjaro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mount Kilimanjaro<\/a>. Kilimanjaro National Park is home to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa\u2019s highest mountain. Mount Kilimanjaro is often compared to Mount Everest, although Mount Kilimanjaro is much easier to climb. When considering going mountain climbing, especially these types of majestic mountains, make sure that you are always well prepared by going to gym to get fit and prepared for this climb. Take along a medical kit and plenty of water but your tour guide will let you know what you require. Anything can happen on a mountain. Kenya is home to wildlife such as elephants, lions and rhinoceros to name a few. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Attractions-g294209-Activities-Maasai_Mara_National_Reserve_Rift_Valley_Province.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Masai Mara National Reserve<\/a> is found along the Tanzanian border in the south western region. You cannot visit Kenya and leave before going on a safari to the Masai Mara Reserve to witness the annual wildebeest migration and view the abundance of wildlife which include the likes of: various antelope, wildebeest, zebra, leopards, buffalo, lion and more. Wildlife is in abundance all year making it possible to enjoy a wildlife safari at any time. The best time to visit if you really want to experience something spectacular would be during the time of the wildebeest migration.
