Three Austrian tourists were robbed at knife-point along a notorious stretch of the Eastern Beach, East London, South Africa on Friday afternoon, July 17, 2015.
Anna Vaclavek, 20, Micha Pilz, 21, and Lukas Pichler, 22, were in the sand dunes east of the lifeguard shack in the company of East London friend Xabisa Xala, 21, when they were accosted, herded together and robbed by three thugs armed with knives.
The robbery took place at about 15:00 not far from the sand dunes where advocate Dali Mpofu was attacked and two Swedish tourists were raped in 2012.
