South Africa is a popular tourist destination for good reason. With options ranging from the beach to the berg and into the bush, our country offers a smorgasbord of gorgeous, world-class holiday destinations. But, with so many options, how does one choose where to go this December?

Mostly As: The Bush

If you answered mostly As, then an escape from the noise and fast pace of city life is possibly what you’re after. Along with a good dose of rest and relaxation, a bush holiday (AKA safari) is likely to be right up your alley. Get ready to enjoy the fresh air, marvel at the stars and get up close and personal with the wildlife.

Mostly Bs: The Beach

If reading a book while basking in the sun with your kids (or friends) frolicking in the surf sounds idyllic, then you possibly answered mostly Bs. So, heed the call of the waves; grab your sunscreen, hat and sunnies, and head to the beach for long, lazy days and gorgeous sunsets. While there’s so much to see and do at seaside destinations, there really is no rush in Africa – so be as active or as lazy as you like.

Mostly Cs: The Berg

Those who answered mostly Cs are likely to enjoy wide, open spaces and majestic scenery, toasty fires and glasses of gluhwein. So, if this is your idea of fun, then lace up your hiking boots and head into the mountains. Plus, if you taking the kids, many berg resorts have action-packed kids’ activity programmes, as well as child minders on hand, so parents can relax, knowing that the kids are entertained and safe.
