South African Tourism Recovery Update
The tourism industry, although it has taken a terrible knock since the start of the lockdown, is a resilient one. Many in the tourism sector have had to innovate in various way to keep their businesses running and keep paying salaries.
The Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) has proposed a phased tourism recovery strategy, underpinned by robust health and safety protocols. Good news is that the World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Global Safety Stamp of Approval issued to South Africa recognising it as a safe destination.
