As keen mountain bikers, the Directors of Big Box Containers are proud to continue supporting the FNB Wines2Whales Mountain Bike (MTB) Events in more \u201cexciting ways\u201d than one.<\/p>\n
Founded in Cape Town in 1997, Big Box Containers is a leading provider of high-quality new and used shipping containers.\u00a0 Although primarily a container rental company, Big Box also sells and converts containers to client\u2019s specifications, customizing them for a wide range of uses.\u00a0 Drawing on two decades of experience, the company\u2019s mission is to create and use space in innovative ways, and to enable people to achieve their business objectives through the spaces it provides.<\/p>\n
According to Willie Ward, Director of Big Box Containers, Big Box supplies offices, stores and refrigerated units to most of the blue chip and listed companies in SA.\u00a0 \u201cThe FNB W2W MTB Events are fantastic,\u201d says Ward.\u00a0 \u201cOne word does not do it justice.\u00a0 That is why I participate every year.\u00a0 There are challenges, but also rewards.\u00a0 The experience leaves every rider fulfilled.\u00a0 As a company we provide logistical support in terms of container offices and stores.\u00a0 We also provide specialized containers for marketing support in the form of our Coffee Bar Container and Water Box.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year we\u2019ve gone one step further by donating a 12m container to Cape Trails, the route builders of the FNB W2W MTB Events,\u201d continues Ward.\u00a0 \u201cThe route builders have recently attended a one week bike mechanic training programme hosted by the Bicycle Empowerment Network (BEN).\u00a0 Their second week of training is scheduled to take place in November.\u00a0 The Big Box Container will be converted into a Bike Spaza Shop.\u00a0 This Spaza Shop will be run from the Cape Trails property in Grabouw.\u00a0 The container is a safe, convenient, versatile and mobile space for people to work in. It is cost effective and can be simply put down with a crane truck in one day and the next day be a functioning shop.\u00a0 It\u2019s an honor to see our product being put to such good use.\u201d<\/p>\n
This year Big Box wanted to share the experience by offering one lucky team a complementary entry into the 2017 FNB W2W MTB Race.\u00a0 This spectacular prize also included the following:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are not big on the usual marketing stuff like gazebos and feathers,\u201d admits Ward.\u00a0 \u201cWe supply a Coffee Bar Container in partnership with Rialto and we supply a Water Box Container with fresh, ice cold water on demand to everybody in the race village.\u00a0 We also have teams in all three of the events.\u00a0 So we are visible, we are practical and we have teams in our funky shirts having fun out there on the trails.\u201d<\/p>\n
Husband and wife duo Deon and Melanie Brenner are the lucky winners of the Big Box competition.<\/p>\n
According to Deon, W2W is one of their absolute favorite races.\u00a0 \u201cEntering the competition was a no brainer.\u00a0 The trails are superb, the scenery is out of this world and the selection and quality of food is awesome.\u00a0 Winning the prize certainly made my year.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to experience sleeping in the \u2018Big Box\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis will be the third time that Deon and I team up for the FNB W2W,\u201d says Melanie.\u00a0 \u201cI had a very good feeling about the Big Box competition.\u00a0 I really tried my best to stand out amongst the other contenders, but to get that call was amazing.\u00a0 I am super excited and very thankful to Willie and Jasper of Big Box Containers for choosing me.\u00a0 It is a fantastic package. W2W and Big Box Containers have thought about everything including coffee and wine vouchers.\u00a0 The only thing missing is someone bringing me coffee in bed, but maybe I can twist Deon\u2019s arm.\u201d<\/p>\n
