Durban \u2013<\/em><\/strong> Runners (and walkers) taking part in the inaugural FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN on Sunday, 8 October 2017 can now support Durban\u2019s four legged angels as event organisers welcome the Durban & Coast SPCA as an official charity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are happy to support the valuable role that the Durban & Coast SPCA fulfils in the lives of thousands of Durban\u2019s animals,\u201d says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports.\u00a0 \u201cAnimal welfare lies close to our hearts.\u00a0 By backing the SPCA we are not only supporting Durban\u2019s animals, but we are giving entrants the opportunity to do the same.\u00a0 We invite Durbanites to show their support while exploring their beautiful city at the FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celebrating its 120th<\/sup> anniversary in 2017, the Durban & Coast SPCA rescues abused and neglected domestic, farm and wild animals, while promoting responsible pet ownership, providing a shelter for strays, and a veterinary service for pets of underprivileged people.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to be the official charity of the FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN,\u201d says Lindsey Concer, Marketing Manager at the Durban & Coast SPCA.\u00a0 \u201cWith proven success in the other provinces, it\u2019s time for Durban to shine.\u00a0 With our beautiful city, this won\u2019t be a problem.\u00a0 To be involved in a wonderful event that brings the Durban community together is a huge honour.\u00a0 Our goal is to make more people aware of the plight of animals in Durban while spreading the message of fighting cruelty against animals.\u00a0 We look forward to being part of the inaugural event and believe that through this partnership we\u2019ll be able to make a valuable difference in the lives of many of Durban\u2019s animals.\u201d<\/p>\n
