We are excited to host the inaugural event in October and invite all Durbanites to #SupportThe031 by #RunningThe031.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1984, TREE is a non-profit organisation that specialises in Early Childhood Development, Resource and Training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTREE\u2019s vision is to ensure that young children develop to their full potential in line with their rights and needs,\u201d says Bertha Magoge, Director of TREE.\u00a0 \u201cWe are delighted to be chosen as an official Charity of the FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN.\u00a0 Through this partnership we hope to create an understanding of the value and power that \u2018play\u2019 has in the development of young children as well as to elicit support for our programmes and activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe event itself will create a wonderful opportunity for families, friends and colleagues to be active and social,\u201d continues Magoge.\u00a0 \u201cFamily participation means that young children can be encouraged to be active too.\u00a0 Children learn from experiences.\u00a0 It will give them an opportunity to experience something different.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0It is through such partnerships and engagements that meaningful contributions can be made to communities.
