As part of its 10th<\/sup> anniversary celebrations event organisers are excited to announce that the AfricanX Trailrun presented by ASICS will also boast a new Festival Village in 2018 with the picturesque Boschendal Wine Estate stepping up to the plate as the new home of South Africa\u2019s premier three day stage trail run.<\/p>\n

\u201c2018 will be a big celebratory year for the AfricanX Trailrun,\u201d says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports.\u00a0 \u201cNot only will we celebrate the event\u2019s 10th<\/sup> anniversary, but after five action-packed years in Grabouw we\u2019re excited to move venue for a second time, this time welcoming the magnificent Boschendal Wine Estate as the new home of AfricanX.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFirmly nestled in the Cape Floral Kingdom, Boschendal is renowned for its beauty,\u201d continues Meyer.\u00a0 \u201cIts backdrop of sweeping mountain ranges, deep ravines and imposing peaks will guarantee a trail running experience like no other.\u00a0\u00a0 AfricanX runners can look forward to new trails and new challenges, but the same awesome AfricanX vibe.\u00a0 We have a few more exciting innovations planned, but are not yet ready to let the cat out the bag.\u00a0 For now trail runners are encouraged to secure their entries and prepare for a trail running experience like no other.\u201d<\/p>\n

EVENT INFORMATION<\/u><\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teams of two (male\/female\/mixed) will be seen putting teamwork and endurance to the test when they battle it out on a route that will vary in distance between 22 – 34km each day.\u00a0 The three routes have been planned in such a way that the runners will have the opportunity to tackle a different breath-taking scenic route each day.<\/p>\n

  3. R8600 <\/strong>per team \u2013 this includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and tented accommodation at Boschendal Wine Estate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
