From November 2<\/span>nd<\/span>to 3<\/span>rd<\/span>, the 5<\/span>th<\/span>\u2002edition of\u00a0<\/span>“<\/span>Chinese\u00a0<\/span>Ambassador<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s<\/span>\u2002Cup”\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>able\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>ennis tournament was successfully held in Kigali, Rwanda.\u00a0<\/span>H.E.\u00a0<\/span>Ambassador Wang Xuekun<\/span>,<\/span>\u2002and Mr. John Birungi, President of the Rwanda Table Tennis Federation, attended the event\u2002and awarded medals to the winners.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Ambassador Wang said that<\/span>,<\/span>\u2002table tennis is an important bridge for China and Rwanda<\/span>\u2002friendship, and is suitable for all ages. Rwanda\u00a0<\/span>successfully held the\u00a0<\/span>ITTF Africa Cup\u00a0<\/span>2024<\/span>\u2002Tourney and the African Olympic Qualification Tournament,\u00a0<\/span>bringing\u00a0<\/span>more<\/span>\u2002opportunities for the development of table tennis<\/span>\u2002in Rwanda<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>I appreciate<\/span>\u2002the players for their wonderful performance<\/span>.<\/span>T<\/span>he embassy\u00a0<\/span>will<\/span>\u2002continue to support the development of table tennis in Rwanda<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>promote\u00a0bilateral exchanges of sports and culture, so as to advance the \u2002comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Rwanda.<\/span><\/p>\n Mr. Birungi thanked the\u00a0<\/span>E<\/span>mbassy for its long-term support<\/span>\u2002for\u00a0<\/span>table tennis<\/span>\u2002in Rwanda. He reaffirmed the willingness to work with the Embassy to improve the players\u2019\u2002skills, and attract more people to play table tennis, contributing to the bilateral friendly cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n The tournament was jointly organized by the\u00a0<\/span>Chinese E<\/span>mbassy and the Rwanda Table Tennis Federation<\/span>.<\/span>\u2002More than 160 players from Rwanda<\/span>\u2002and\u00a0<\/span>Uganda participated,<\/span>\u2002a record high in history.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
