Join the team on Friday, 11 October for a day of exciting youth cricket as boys and girls from CATCH Trust display their skills on the Centre\u2019s world-class field and indoor facility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9.0pt; color: #7f7f7f;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;\">As part of CATCH Trust\u2019s ongoing mission to use cricket as a vehicle for social change, attendees will learn more about the Trust\u2019s impactful community initiatives, including the\u00a0<em>Women\u2019s Empowerment Programme<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>CATCH Coaches Academy<\/em>. These programmes aim to not only improve cricket skills but also focus on holistic personal development, gender equity, and community upliftment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9.0pt; color: #7f7f7f;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;\">CATCH &#8211; which stands for \u2018Cricket and Talent Centres of Hope\u2019 &#8211; is centred on the belief that \u2018Talent is Universal, Opportunity isn\u2019t\u2019 \u2013 a phrase that resonates strongly with the Founder and Chairman, Gary Kirsten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9.0pt; color: #7f7f7f;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;\">Kirsten, a former international cricket coach and player, is committed to providing quality sports facilities and coaching opportunities to underprivileged township youth, ensuring they receive the same level of support as their peers in more affluent areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9.0pt; color: #7f7f7f;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; color: black;\">\u201cCricket is our language, but our work goes far beyond the pitch,\u201d he commented. \u201cTen years ago, I visited Khayelitsha on a fact-finding mission and was shocked not to find a single sports field in the township.
