The Capital City of South Africa, Tshwane will become the backdrop for an unforgettable experience on Sunday 27 August 2023 as the city prepares to host the inaugural Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

“We’re thrilled to celebrate the debut of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series in Tshwane on August 27,” expresses Michael Meyer, Stillwater Sports’ Managing Director and the Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series<\/em><\/strong>. “Tshwane boasts all the requisites for hosting a world-class 10km road run, and the Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K will demonstrate it. Our objective is to host an event that surpasses the norm of conventional road runs, celebrates the streets of Tshwane, ignites a passion for athletics, while sparking a culture of well-being and celebrating the importance of heritage.”<\/p>\n

Starting at one of South Africa\u2019s most iconic landmarks, the Union Buildings, fireworks can be expected as the event has attracted a fantastic lineup of elite athletes including South Africa\u2019s 10k record holder Precious Mashele, Elroy Gelant, Nicholas Seoposengwe, Kabelo Seboko, Glenrose Xaba, Cacisile Sosibo and SA\u2019s darling of road running, Gerda Steyn. Lesotho\u2019s Neheng Khatala is always ready to battle, while Uganda\u2019s Docus Ajok and Ethiopia\u2019s Debash Desta should never be underestimated.<\/p>\n
