Well known South African recording artist, singer and songwriter, Holly Rey will serenade thousands of runners and walkers on National Women\u2019s Day at the Totalsports Women\u2019s Race<\/strong> in Durban<\/strong> on Wednesday, 09 August 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Totalsports Women\u2019s Race is an iconic event on the South African events calendar,\u201d says Holly Rey<\/em><\/strong>. \u201cThe event celebrates women and as a granddaughter of a breast cancer survivor, it is such an honour to perform on a platform that not only raises awareness about breast cancer but also promotes and provides access to early detection facilities. I am really looking forward to experiencing the vibe on race day. There is nothing more uplifting than seeing women come together to make a difference. This race is for all women, mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers all dressed in pink.\u00a0 It\u2019s a beautiful sight to behold.\u201d<\/p>\n

PinkDrive will be present at the Totalsports Women\u2019s Race in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban offering FREE clinical breast examinations and educating on the importance of self- breast examinations.<\/p>\n

PRIZE PURSE<\/u><\/strong>: <\/strong>The Totalsports Women\u2019s Race will boast an impressive, combined prize purse of R202 500,00 in 2023. That equates to a R67 500,00 prize purse per city (Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban). Prize money has been allocated to the Top Ten finishers in the Open Category, with the Open Winner taking home R12\u00a0000,00, the second-place finisher R10\u00a0000,00 and the third-place finisher R8 000,00. Prize money has also been allocated to the top 3 finishers in the Junior, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+ categories.
