{"id":50325,"date":"2023-04-24T19:25:05","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T17:25:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/football\/fifa-receives-expressions-of-interest-to-host-fifa-womens-world-cup-2027\/"},"modified":"2023-04-24T19:25:05","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T17:25:05","slug":"fifa-receives-expressions-of-interest-to-host-fifa-womens-world-cup-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/football\/fifa-receives-expressions-of-interest-to-host-fifa-womens-world-cup-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA receives expressions of interest to host FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup 2027\u2122"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"press-body-in\">\n                            <span><br \/>\n                                                            ZURICH, Switzerland, April 24, 2023\/APO Group\/ &#8212;<br \/>\n                                                        <\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Four expressions of interest from member associations representing the same number of confederations received<\/em>; <em>FIFA (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.FIFA.com\" rel=\"noopener\">www.FIFA.com<\/a>) implementing most robust and comprehensive bidding process in the history of the FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup\u2122; FIFA Congress to appoint the host(s) on 17 May 2024.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Following the invitation to all member associations (MAs) to express their interest in hosting the final competition of the FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup 2027<strong>\u2122<\/strong>, FIFA has received a total of four expressions from (in alphabetical order by country):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Royal Belgian Football Association, the Royal Netherlands Football Association and the German Football Association (joint expression of interest)<\/li>\n<li>The Brazilian Football Association<\/li>\n<li>The South African Football Association<\/li>\n<li>The U.S. Soccer Federation and the Mexican Football Association (joint expression of interest)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The expressions of interest represent four confederations (CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL and UEFA) and the remaining two (AFC and OFC) are hosting this year\u2019s FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup\u2122.
