The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series’ first Strava Challenge of 2023, the RUN.CLIMB.RUN Challenge will take place this coming Sunday 22 January 2023. Just by taking part, runners from across the country will stand a chance to win a fantastic prize compliments of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series and its footwear and apparel partner, PUMA South Africa.

“We’re excited to welcome runners from across the country to take on the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series’ first Strava Challenge of 2023,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “The goal of the Strava Challenges is to help runners get active in the build up to the 2023 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series events. The RUN.CLIMB.RUN Challenge is a great challenge to start off the year. It’s slightly tougher and guarantees to get runners out of their comfort zones.”

“Runners have from 05:00 – 23:00 on Sunday to complete the RUN.CLIMB.RUN Challenge,” confirms Meyer. “We are looking for the runner that clocks the most amount of climbing, irrespective of the distance run. We don’t mind whether you run with friends, or choose to go solo, run hill repeats in your neighborhood or enjoy a scenic mountain adventure, as long as you get moving and do some serious climbing. The five runners that clock the most climbing on the day will go into a lucky draw. An awesome pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes is up for grabs. All that you need to do to stand a chance to win is RUN.CLIMB. RUN. May the best climber win.”
