Savanna will combine two passions, comedy and mountain biking, at the end of November by lining up award winning South African Stand-Up Comedian Dalin Oliver to perform at SA\u2019s \u2018MTB Party of the Year\u2019, the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to contribute meaningfully towards events and activities right here in our hometown,\u201d says Kavir Gangiah, Media, Sponsorship and Events Lead Distell Southern Africa. \u201cAs SA\u2019s \u2018MTB Party of the Year\u2019, the Savanna Origin of Trails represents something unique and something that our brand stands for – not taking mountain biking too seriously, but instead being able to compete and have fun at the same time. That\u2019s why we are excited to incorporate comedy into the festivities in 2022. Entrants are in for a treat as Dalin is guaranteed to have them in stitches.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic that Savanna is once again bringing comedy to the people,\u201d says Oliver. \u201cThey\u2019ve gone above and beyond to support our industry pre, during and post lockdown from shows in theaters, comedy clubs, on TV, in their virtual comedy bar and now at a mountain bike race. What\u2019s next? Comedy on the moon? I\u2019ll be waiting for the invite.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe mountain biking community is filled with adrenalin junkies,\u201d continues Oliver. \u201cBeing booked to perform for them as we wrap up 2022 is special. There\u2019s nothing but gees and good vibes on race day and at the end. I look forward to experiencing the same energy when I\u2019m on stage performing. Who knows, I might even start mountain biking and someone in the crowd might even want to start comedy. Even better, we might even do comedy on a mountain bike.\u201d<\/p>\n

In closing, Oliver adds: \u201cWe are going to have a jol. South Africans are born with a sense of humor. It\u2019s what gets us through the day. Riders can expect to wrap up a tough day with some quality laughs and lekker gees in true Mzansi style.
