Following launches in Guam (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fifa.africa-newsroom.com\/press\/countlinks\/203249\/https:%7D%7Dfifa.fans%7D3yKXXYH\/website\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/fifa.fans\/3yKXXYH<\/a>), Guyana (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fifa.africa-newsroom.com\/press\/countlinks\/203249\/https:%7D%7Dfifa.fans%7D3wrmel8\/website\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/fifa.fans\/3wrmel8<\/a>) and Puerto Rico\u00a0<u>(<\/u><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fifa.africa-newsroom.com\/press\/countlinks\/203249\/https:%7D%7Dfifa.fans%7D39xOlWP\/website\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/fifa.fans\/39xOlWP<\/a><u>)<\/u>, it has touched down in Africa, with the FIFA Foundation organising a workshop in Djibouti on 9-12 May.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Held in a relaxed atmosphere, the three-day event comprised classroom-based theory modules and practical sessions out on the pitch. An official launch ceremony for the Football for Schools programme was also held on the final day. Among those taking part was C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire women\u2019s national team coach and FIFA Legend Clementine Toure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a fantastic opportunity for young people in Djibouti,\u201d said Toure. \u201cMany youngsters don\u2019t have the chance to express themselves. Playing football at school allows children to develop their team spirit. It brings them together, lets them share in an experience and develop their self-control.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Those are the very goals of Football for Schools. Developed in collaboration with UNESCO, the initiative seeks to contribute to the education, development and empowerment of nearly 700\u202fmillion children worldwide.
