The Absa RUN YOUR CITY (RYC) Series is inviting runners to take part in one of its \u201ctougher\u201d Strava Challenges \u2013 the RUN.CLIMB.RUN Challenge<\/strong> – this coming Sunday 03 April 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe RUN.CLIMB.RUN Challenge is definitely one of our tougher Strava challenges,\u201d says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. \u201cIt\u2019s good to get out of one\u2019s comfort zone. The good news is that this challenge does not require speed, slow and steady can also win the race. Runners will need to complete the challenge any time between 05:00 \u2013 23:00 on Sunday. They can also run any distance. We are looking for the runner that clocks the most amount of climbing, irrespective of the distance run. Run hill repeats in your neighborhood or go for a scenic mountain adventure. The ten runners to clock the most climbing on the day will go into a lucky draw and stand a chance to win a pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes. These runners stand a 1 in 10 chance to win. I like the odds. May the best climber win.\u201d<\/p>\n

How to join Challenge #3 \/ RUN.CLIMB.RUN Challenge:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Runners are to \u201cjoin<\/strong>\u201d the RYC Series Running Club on Strava: https:\/\/www.strava.com\/clubs\/rycs<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. If runners have not done so yet, they will need to create a Strava Account before they can join the club.<\/li>\n
  3. Runners are to join CLIMB.RUN <\/strong>event on the RYC Series Running Club by clicking on the orange \u201cI\u2019m in<\/strong>\u201d button displayed next to the Event listing.<\/li>\n
  4. Runners must record their run using a smartphone (Android or iPhone device) or smart watch (Garmin, TomTom, Suunto, Fitbit, Polar etc.)<\/li>\n
  5. Runners must share their elevation gain, activities, pictures and routes to the RYC Series Strava Club page<\/li>\n
  6. All activities logged during the event period must be uploaded to Strava no later than 23:00 on Sunday 03 April 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
