The organisers of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY (RYC) Series are challenging Strava Club members to show their love for running this Valentine\u2019s Day (Monday 14 February 2022) by taking on \u2018The LOVE for Running 5K\u2019 Strava Challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat better way to show your love for running than by taking on \u2018The LOVE for Running 5K\u2019 on Valentine\u2019s Day,\u201d says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RYC Series. \u201cIt\u2019s a fun way to kickstart the year. We are proud to provide a platform for runners, both loyal and new, to connect with one another as we build a stronger, healthier and more active RYC Series running community! So grab your significant other, family members and\/or friends and join us for \u2018The LOVE of Running 5K\u2019 on Monday 14 February 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Challenge will last from 05:00 \u2013 23:00,\u201d continues Meyer. \u201cRunners need to complete their 5km run\/walk within this time period. Remember to share your experience, pictures and routes to the RYC Series Strava Club page to go into a lucky draw. A pair of magnificent PUMA NITRO running shoes is up for grabs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Absa RYC Series Strava Challenge #1<\/u><\/strong>: <\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The LOVE for Running 5K<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong>\u00a0 between 05:00 \u2013 23:00<\/p>\n

Distancs:<\/strong> 5km<\/p>\n

Location: <\/strong>Runners can choose their own location and route<\/p>\n

How to join Challenge #1<\/u><\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Runners are to \u201cjoin<\/strong>\u201d the RYC Series Running Club on Strava: https:\/\/www.strava.com\/clubs\/rycs<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. If runners have not done so yet, they will need to create a Strava Account before they can join the club.<\/li>\n
  3. Runners are to join The LOVE of Running 5K <\/strong>event on the RYC Series Running Club by clicking on the orange \u201cI\u2019m in<\/strong>\u201d button displayed next to the Event listing.<\/li>\n
  4. Runners must record their run using a smartphone (Android or iPhone device) or smart watch (Garmin, TomTom, Suunto, Fitbit, Polar etc.)<\/li>\n
  5. All activities logged during the event period must be uploaded to Strava no later than 23:00 on Monday, 14 February 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    WIN WIN WIN:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>All runners and walkers who complete \u2018The LOVE of Running 5K\u2019<\/strong> and share their activity to the RYC Series Running Club on Strava within the stipulated time frame stand the chance of winning a pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes. The winner will be selected by random draw and announced on the RYC Series Running Club page on Tuesday 15 February 2022.<\/p>\n
