Taking place at the Greenpoint Athletics Stadium (Cape Town) on Saturday 23 October 2021, the Twizza Super School Series Regional Qualifier #2 <\/strong>will boast exceptionally strong competition in the Girls Team Category with an impressive list of teams from La Rochelle Girls\u2019 High School (Paarl), Paarl Girls\u2019 High School, Parel Vallei High School (Somerset West), Bellville High School, Huguenot High School (Wellington) and HTS Drostdy (Worcester) eager to stamp their authority on the event.<\/p>\n

Launched in 2019, the Twizza Super School Series has very quickly become a highlight on the schools\u2019 athletics calendar and has one clear goal in mind \u2013 to crown SA\u2019s best athletics school!\u00a0 There can be only ONE WINNER!<\/p>\n

The winning school will take home bragging rights for one year!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Twizza Super School Series gives athletes an amazing opportunity to meet other athletes from various schools,\u201d says Milan Horn (17) from La Rochelle Girls\u2019 High School<\/u>.\u00a0 \u201cI am really looking forward to being able to compete again.\u00a0 Larries is a connected team, and everybody cares about your well-being.\u00a0 This makes our school very special.\u00a0 My goal is to enjoy my events while being the best version of an athlete that I can be.\u201d\u00a0 Horn will be seen in action in the 100m, 100m hurdles and relay.<\/p>\n

Girls Teams set to impress at Twizza Super School Series<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

According to Leah Winter\u00a0(16) from Paarl Girls\u2019 High School<\/u>, the Twizza Super School Series is a great opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talent.\u00a0 \u201cIt is also a great opportunity for athletes to have fun, while being exposed to strong competition.\u00a0 I am really looking forward to being able to run a race again after such a long period of not competing due to Covid.\u00a0 My goal is to run my personal best time for both the 400m and 100m hurdles.\u00a0 My long-term goal is to achieve my SA colours and represent my country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bellville High School<\/u>\u2019s Celest Louw (16) believes that the Twizza Super School Series presents athletes with healthy competition.\u00a0 \u201cIt’s a competition where athletes learn from one another and grow together,\u201d says Louw.\u00a0 \u201cAthletes get to test their abilities and skills against other athletes from other regions.\u00a0 Having just come out of recovery, I’m looking forward to seeing how I’m going to perform.\u00a0 I\u2019m also looking forward to meeting new athletes, making new friends, settings new goals and learning from others.\u00a0 My goal is to see myself grow in this competition, learn new tricks from other athletes, get new PB’s and just have fun.\u201d\u00a0 Louw focusses on the 100m, 200m and Long Jump.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Twizza Super School Series is a great initiative by Twizza to bring the sport of athletics back to life,\u201d says Jo- \u00c9ke Haas (16) from HTS Drostdy<\/u>.\u00a0 \u201cI will take part in the 100m and 200m sprints and my goal is to target my personal best times.\u00a0 Our school focusses on developing its\u2019 learners not only academically, but also through sport. \u00a0\u00a0Our goal, as a school and team, is to be crowned the best school in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
