It is a great way for us to give our athletes a chance to compete against schools that we don’t normally compete against and to prepare us for the season ahead. We strive to give our athletes the best coaching and opportunities that we can. Taking part at this level and being able to see what our athletes are capable of, means that they get to reap the rewards of their own effort and hard work. Collectively the team will be able to work together and achieve great heights.”

According to Elsmarie Coetzee, Acting Sport Organiser at Charlie Hofmeyr High School, the Twizza Super School Series is a great opportunity for individual athletes to learn to compete as a unit. “It is all about the team,” says Coetzee. “The learners motivate each other and work together to achieve a greater goal where everyone benefits. Our children need to stay motivated and focussed during these challenging times. They have lost a lot of sporting opportunities and we need to provide them with safe platforms where they can grow into young individuals with values. As a school we decided to grab all the opportunities that come our way, that is why we entered the Twizza Super School Series. Our immediate goal will be to put a smile on our athletes’ faces, but we are always up for a challenge and are definitely planning to go to the final.”

“The Twizza Super School Series is so much fun,” says Stefan Potgieter, 2IC of athletics at Wynberg Boys’ High School. “It offers our athletes an opportunity to compete at a high level of competition in an event that is well organized and extremely professional. The fact that the Twizza Super School Series is run so well is an added benefit for us. This level of competition is imperative. We believe that the learners will only be able to truly measure their abilities in their event(s) if they compete against the best.
