An epic battel is set to unfold at the Ruimsig Athletics Stadium (Roodepoort) this coming Wednesday (29 September 2021) when leading athletics schools including Afrikaanse Ho\u00ebr Seunskool<\/strong>, Prestige College <\/strong>and Menlopark High School<\/strong> face-off in the Boys Team Category at the much-anticipated Twizza Super School Series Regional Qualifier #1!<\/p>\n

Launched in 2019, the Twizza Super School Series has very quickly become a highlight on the schools\u2019 athletics calendar and has one clear goal in mind \u2013 to crown SA\u2019s best athletics school!\u00a0 There can be only ONE WINNER!<\/p>\n

The winning school will take home bragging rights for one year!<\/p>\n

Ntando Mahlangu (19) will represent Afrikaanse Ho\u00ebr Seunskool Pretoria (Affies) <\/strong>in the 400m and 800m at the Twizza Super School Series Regional Qualifier #1.\u00a0 \u201cI enjoy taking part in the Twizza Super School Series,\u201d says Mahlangu.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s a great opportunity to go up against SA\u2019s best.\u00a0 I am really looking forward to representing my school for one last time.\u00a0 My goal is to make a successful transition from my events at the Paralympic Games to the events that I usually participate in for my school. The challenges of these events are very different.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prestige College\u2019s <\/strong>Evince Dhlamini (17) will be seen in action in the 110mH and 400mH.\u00a0 \u201cThe Twizza Super School Series is a good competition that provides opportunities to go further as an athlete,\u201d says Dhlamini.\u00a0 \u201cMy gaol is to dominate my events and break records.\u00a0 I am really looking forward to seeing my school win the competition.\u00a0 My long-term goal is to inspire upcoming athletes and go to the Olympics.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aiden Smith (17) from Menlopark High School<\/strong> can\u2019t wait to stamp his authority in the shot put and discus events.\u00a0 \u201cThe Twizza Super School Series gives athletes a good look at who the SA competitors are,\u201d says Smith.\u00a0 \u201cI am really looking forward to the shot-put event.\u00a0 I\u2019ll be looking for the 21m or 22m mark.\u00a0 My long-term goal is to go to the 2021 Olympics where I\u2019d like to go for gold.\u201d<\/p>\n
