Durbanites will be treated to a live performance by South African musician and dancer, Moonchild Sanelly at the Totalsports Women\u2019s Race on Friday, 09 August 2019 (National Women\u2019s Day). Known for her signature blue-coloured hair and self-created music genre called \u201cfuture ghetto funk\u201d, runners can look forward to hearing a combination of kwaito, hip hop and electronic sounds. \u201cMy music journey actually started back in Durban in 2006,\u201d confirms Moonchild.\u00a0 \u201cI enjoy the freedom to express myself, while empowering those who don\u2019t believe that their voice matters.\u00a0 I am really excited to perform at the Totalsports Women\u2019s Race, an event that is run by women.\u00a0 It really is an important initiative and having the support of a big brand such as Totalsports is beautiful.\u00a0 Runners and supporters can expect energy, energy, energy.\u00a0 They will probably want to run the 5km and\/or 10km again after my performance.\u201d Event Information<\/u>:\u00a0 <\/strong>2019 Totalsports Women\u2019s Race \u00a0<\/strong> An annual Women\u2019s Day celebration, the Totalsports Women\u2019s Race encourages athletes to run united in support of PinkDrive because they are #StrongerTogether.\u00a0 For the first time since the event\u2019s inception in 2001, South Africa\u2019s largest Women\u2019s Day Celebration will be hosted on one day across three major cities.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
