Drum Caf\u00e9 Cape Town will be seen in action for the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0consecutive year entertaining entrants (and spectators) on- route at the Cape\u2019s premier 12km road race, the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN on Sunday, 19 May 2019.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1997, Drum Caf\u00e9 consists of drummers, marimba players, dancers and singers all performing with traditional African instruments and style.<\/p>\n

\u201cDrum Caf\u00e9 focusses on uplifting traditional drumming and rhythm,\u201d says Sue Schlesinger, Drum Caf\u00e9 Manager.\u00a0 \u201cWe are proud to be associated with the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN. The event allows us to celebrate with pride in our Mother City. The atmosphere at last year\u2019s event was great, there was a wonderful spirit. The run gives Drum Caf\u00e9 an opportunity to further cement our dedication to the City of Cape Town with a pride-filled traditional performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Drum Caf\u00e9 team loves to see the joyful reactions of the runners and spectators,\u201d continues Schlesinger.\u00a0 \u201cThis always makes for an exciting experience for us. Runners and spectators can look forward to seeing a professional traditional drumming performance filled with colour, showmanship and infectious African rhythm. We will add an African flavour to the event by means of our clothing and traditional musical elements. Drum Caf\u00e9 promises to bring its unique blend of flair, excitement and City Pride.\u201d<\/p>\n
