{"id":26885,"date":"2019-03-05T18:44:10","date_gmt":"2019-03-05T16:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/?p=26885"},"modified":"2019-03-05T18:44:10","modified_gmt":"2019-03-05T16:44:10","slug":"2019-puma-school-of-speed-series-set-to-close-off-in-potchefstroom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/press-release\/2019-puma-school-of-speed-series-set-to-close-off-in-potchefstroom\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 PUMA School of Speed Series set to close off in Potchefstroom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SA\u2019s premier school\u2019s track &amp; field series will close off its 2019 season at the Puk McArthur Stadium (Potchefstroom) on Wednesday, 13 March 2019 with the <strong>PUMA School of Speed #5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in November 2016 by PUMA and Stillwater Sports, the series is committed to the development of athletics talent in South Africa by discovering the fastest young Speedsters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 2019 PUMA School of Speed Series has been exceptionally well received,\u201d says Michael Meyer, Managing Director Stillwater Sports.\u00a0 \u201cThe season kicked off in Stellenbosch in January, headed to Roodepoort and KZN in February, before taking Pretoria by storm this past weekend.\u00a0 So far each meet has lived up to the<strong> PUMA School of Speed <\/strong>ethos &#8211; action packed racing with junior track &amp; field stars going #ForeverFast to the delight of spectators.\u00a0 We look forward to continuing this trend in Potchefstroom as we close off the season with the <strong>PUMA School of Speed #5<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur search for South Africa\u2019s fastest young Speedsters has been met with #FastTimes at the first four PUMA School of Speed meets,\u201d says PUMA Marketing Director Brett Bellinger.\u00a0 \u201cWe can\u2019t believe that it is that time already, but we are excited to close off the 2019 PUMA School of Speed Series in Potchefstroom, an area that is renowned for its strong track &amp; field roots.\u00a0 We encourage all entrants to give their all, go #ForeverFaster and help us grow PUMA\u2019s ambassador programme.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Junior track &amp; field stars can look forward to meeting South African middle-distance runner and <strong>2019 <\/strong><strong>PUMA School of Speed <\/strong><strong>Vice Principal<\/strong>, Gena L\u00f6fstrand in the Vice Principal\u2019s office at the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe PUMA School of Speed Series is a great platform for up and coming athletes to showcase their talent and all the hard work that they\u2019ve put into their sport.\u00a0 It gives athletes something to work for and something to look forward to, a reason to pursue athletics.
