I\u2019m not going to deny that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year awards, held in Monte Carlo, the former Manchester United manager addressed an audience of more than 100 business owners, hailing from 50 countries.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sir Alex, true leaders must possess several key attributes. \u201cYou have to have a strong personality when you\u2019re leading people,\u201d he said, \u201cAnd I\u2019ve got a pretty strong personality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Self assurance is also a crucial leadership trait, he added. \u201cI never doubted myself,\u201d he said. \u201cEven in the dark days when I first joined Manchester United, I knew that what I was doing was completely right.\u201d&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/sport\/football\/teams\/manchester-united\/10883663\/Alex-Ferguson-I-was-ruthless-at-Manchester-United.html\" title=\"Read more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n<p>South Africa Today Sport &#8211; Football News &#8211; Manchester United &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/category\/football\/\" title=\"Football\">Football<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sir Alex Ferguson warned entrepreneurs and business owners that true leaders must be \u201cruthless\u201d, and that \u201cwinning is all important\u201d at an event held in the principality of Monaco today.
