Anele Bans (Parklands, Cape Town) and Dominique D\u2019Oliveira (Bellville, Cape Town) were on top form during the much anticipated Fedhealth IMPI Challenge #4 Elite Race at the scenic Wiesenhof Wildlife Park (Stellenbosch) on Saturday, 17 November 2018.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had a bit of an injury coming into the race,\u201d says Bans.\u00a0 \u201cI just told myself that I\u2019m always a racer, I\u2019m always a guy who competes no matter what comes in my way.\u00a0 I knew it was going to be a bit of a challenge, it is called the IMPI Challenge.\u00a0 I normally dominate the concrete\/cinder block area, but today it was hard for me.\u00a0 I just kept up with the top three guys until we dropped the blocks.\u00a0 Two guys were ahead of me and I had to push knowing that the grip obstacles were next where I\u2019d takeover.\u00a0 Luckily it happened that way.\u00a0 The carrying obstacles were definitely the toughest part of the race.\u00a0 It\u2019s always amazing to come first in the Elite competition.\u00a0 It\u2019s something that we work really hard for.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bans completed the Fedhealth IMPI #4 Elite Race in an impressive time of 01 hour 54 minutes 17 seconds.\u00a0 Jan de Beer came in second, while Tom Liebenberg finished third.<\/p>\n
