Taking place at the Van Gaalens Kaasmakerji (North West Province) on Saturday, 06 October 2018, the Fedhealth IMPI Challenge #3 <\/strong>boasts 22 exciting obstacles of which 12 are manmade.<\/p>\n

According to Fedhealth, Fedhealth IMPI Challenge Race Director, the first step to hosting an exciting Obstacle Course Race (OCR) is choosing the perfect venue.\u00a0 \u201cSituated at the foot of the majestic Magaliesberg mountains, the Van Gaalens Kaasmakerji is the ideal venue for the IMPI Challenge.\u00a0 The venue\u2019s natural beauty and existing trails are unsurpassed, and the landowners are amazing to work with.\u00a0 The course design process usually starts with a trail run\/route recce.\u00a0 We identify natural obstacles and then decide where to place the manmade obstacles, this depends on the terrain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSafety always comes first, and over the years we\u2019ve learned valuable lessons in construction,\u201d continues du Plessis.\u00a0 \u201cObstacles that exceed a 2m height are signed off by an engineer.\u00a0\u00a0 My favourite obstacle is the Leap of Faith.\u00a0 It challenges entrants to leap into the unknown.\u00a0 The Rawson Wall, on the other hand, is iconic to the IMPI Challenge and has been around since the event\u2019s inception in 2009.\u00a0 We also strive to involve the community in which an IMPI event is hosted.\u00a0 We\u2019ve purchased most of our material from Brits Poles, while all our marshals, life guards and event day staff live in the area.\u00a0 We\u2019re excited to return to the Van Gaalens Kaasmakerji in October.\u00a0 My advice to entrants is to bring the gees and some energy.\u00a0 The IMPI Challenge #3 is guaranteed to be an awesome day out for the whole family.\u201d<\/p>\n

OBSTACLE LIST<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 <\/strong>Exciting obstacles to look out for at the Fedhealth IMPI Challenge #3 <\/strong>at Van Gaalens Kaasmakerji will include:\u00a0 Little Hurdles, Porcupine Tunnels, Mitchum Wall, Nets\/Dam Crossing, Swamp, Snake Pit, Vietnam Crawl, Weir Crossing, Rope Climb, Wiggle Wiggle, Leap of Faith, Tyre Swing, Cargo Tower, Rawson Wall, Under Armour Wall, Pulley Hoist, Mud Pits, Tyre Flip, Victor se Gat, Monkey Madness, Tyre Wall and the Lilly Pads.\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

TEAM BUILDING MADE FUN<\/u><\/strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0 Although the IMPI Challenge can be entered individually or as part of a team, to ensure that the most fun is had on the day, teamwork is encouraged!\u00a0 The Fedhealth IMPI Challenge is the ideal team building exercise!<\/p>\n
