Boschendal Farm Estate is primed to host the 4th<\/sup> annual Fedhealth MTB Challenge this coming weekend (Saturday, 15 and Sunday, 16 September 2018).<\/p>\n

The weekend\u2019s action will kick off with the Fedhealth Kids MTB Events on Saturday.\u00a0 Catering for ages 0 \u2013 13, Junior MTB enthusiasts have three events to choose from:\u00a0 a 500m (0-5 years), 1.5km (6-9 years) and a 5km race (10 \u2013 13 years).<\/p>\n

Jeremy Yatt, Fedhealth Principal Officer, says: \u201cWe cannot wait to welcome our Junior mountain bikers at the 2018 Fedhealth Kids MTB Events! Apart from having a great time on the tracks, it\u2019s always an awesome way to bond with Mom and Dad and the rest of the family. And, since these youngsters are the MTB champions of tomorrow, we like to believe that we\u2019re promoting the sport in that way too!\u201d<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the more senior riders will get to experience the magnificent MTB trails on offer at the Boschendal Farm Estate and surrounds. All three events (Marathon, Half Marathon and Fun Ride) will boast spectacular MTB Trails and magnificent views.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Defending champion, HB Kruger will be hoping for a successful title defence.\u00a0 Kruger claimed victory in 2017 in an impressive time of 02 hours 51 minutes.\u00a0 \u201cThe Fedhealth MTB Challenge is one of my favourite one day events,\u201d says Kruger.\u00a0 \u201cClaiming gold in 2017 was an amazing feeling.\u00a0 It was one of my first races back after my shoulder injury.\u00a0 The route featured some great single track in the picturesque Winelands.\u00a0 The win was a big morale booster.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once across the finish line, all mountain bikers will be treated to a foot massage in the Falke Foot Zone<\/strong>.\u00a0 The Festival Village will be a hub of excitement.\u00a0 Enjoy a Flying Fish beer<\/strong> with a mouth-watering Spur Burger <\/strong>while listening to a live performance<\/strong> by Newton & Co<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

SPECTACULAR SPECIALIZED PRIZE UP FOR GRABS<\/u>:\u00a0<\/strong> This year, two lucky riders will take home a whopping R10\u00a0000 gift voucher (each) compliments of Specialized Bicycles Africa, a proud partner of the 2018 event.\u00a0 The Specialized Lucky Draw will take place during prize giving on Sunday, 16 September 2018.\u00a0 To qualify for the prize, contestants need to have taken part in the 2018 Fedhealth MTB Challenge and need to be present during prize giving to collect their prize.<\/p>\n
