The streets of Durban will be buzzing with excitement on Sunday, 22 July 2018 when runners from all walks of life #RunUnited in support of PinkDrive.<\/p>\n
According to Janice Benecke, PinkDrive KZN Administrator, it is inspiring to see thousands of women come together to spread the message that early detection saves lives.\u00a0 \u201cA primary focus of PinkDrive is to educate women on general breast health, teaching them to perform self-examinations.\u00a0 We believe in empowering and strengthening women to fight against cancer, and what better place to be than at the Totalsports Women\u2019s Race.\u00a0 The vibe at the event is really festive and it\u2019s lovely to see runners of all ages #PimpThemselvesPink in support of PinkDrive.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone is so excited to either start or even just support this event,\u201d continues Benecke.\u00a0 \u201cPinkDrive was really well supported at the 2017 event.\u00a0 We reached 7100 runners, examining 192 ladies with no referrals.\u00a0 We had many women come to thank us for our services and dedication to the cause. We really appreciate the feedback and it is always our pleasure to assist anyone in need.\u00a0 This year PinkDrive will once again be very involved with the Totalsports Women\u2019s Race in Durban.\u00a0 We will be performing clinical breast examinations and education.\u00a0 Runners can approach our nurses for advice and\/or assistance.\u00a0 Don\u2019t miss the PinkDrive stand both at race pack collection and on event day.\u00a0 Runners are encouraged to bring their wallets, show support and help us get our message across.\u201d<\/p>\n
