The Fedhealth IMPI Challenge in Cape Town proudly supports five local charities including Prochorus Community Development Centre and the Woodside Special Care Centre.<\/p>\n

Started in 1996, Prochorus <\/strong>is a community-based organisation that offers sustainable programs to ensure that every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential spiritually, intellectually, physically and emotionally.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud to be a charity of the IMPI Challenge,\u201d says Jacomien Scannell, Prochorus Area Manager.\u00a0 \u201cThe event is exhilarating.\u00a0 By being a charity we are able to uplift and empower the poor, vulnerable and destitute. The donations received have enabled us to purchase school necessities for children in the Kayamandi Township outside of Stellenbosch.\u201d

Founded in 1976 the Woodside Special Care Centre<\/strong> cares for 77 intellectually and physically disabled residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the IMPI Challenge,\u201d says Gregory Sirmongpong, PR and Marketing Officer at the Woodside Special Care Centre.\u00a0 \u201cI have completed one IMPI Challenge with a team from Woodside.\u00a0 The team spirit and camaraderie is really awesome.\u00a0 We are proud to be part of the event.\u00a0 \u00a0We appreciate the fact that in all the planning that it takes to organise such an event that the organisers have made a point of ensuring that they give back to those who are in need.\u00a0 We have to provide for the daily needs of our 77 residents by feeding, clothing, caring and making sure that they have recreational activities to prevent boredom. Woodside utilises the money received for these daily operational costs.<\/p>\n
