{"id":16180,"date":"2018-02-13T17:40:11","date_gmt":"2018-02-13T15:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/?p=16180"},"modified":"2018-02-13T17:40:11","modified_gmt":"2018-02-13T15:40:11","slug":"ho-ready-for-title-defense-at-sanlam-cape-mile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/press-release\/ho-ready-for-title-defense-at-sanlam-cape-mile\/","title":{"rendered":"Ho ready for title defense at Sanlam Cape Mile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Seen here:\u00a0 Chad Ho claims gold at the 2017 Sanlam Cape Mile brought to you by Sanlam Investments.\u00a0 Photo Credit:\u00a0 Tobias Ginsberg<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Considered one of the fastest professional open water swimmers in the world, Chad Ho is hoping for a successful title defense on Sunday, 18 February 2018 when he takes on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> annual Sanlam Cape Mile brought to you by Sanlam Investments at the picturesque Eikenhof Dam (Elgin, Grabouw).<\/p>\n<p>Ho\u2019s 3<sup>rd<\/sup> attempt at the Sanlam Cape Mile saw him clinch gold in a lightning fast time of 17 minutes 48 seconds in 2017.\u00a0 \u201cI enjoy open water swimming because it is a mysterious sport,\u201d says Ho.\u00a0 \u201cI love that it is unpredictable.\u00a0 Not knowing what the outcome will be gives me an extra adrenaline rush.\u00a0 The Sanlam Cape Mile is held in a very beautiful part of Cape Town.\u00a0\u00a0 I was thrilled with my performance in 2017.\u00a0 I finally managed to win.\u00a0\u00a0 I am hoping to repeat my performance in 2018.
