{"id":14241,"date":"2017-12-06T17:35:24","date_gmt":"2017-12-06T15:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/?p=14241"},"modified":"2017-12-06T17:35:24","modified_gmt":"2017-12-06T15:35:24","slug":"asa-launches-athletix-grand-prix-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/sport\/press-release\/asa-launches-athletix-grand-prix-series\/","title":{"rendered":"ASA Launches Athletix Grand Prix Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Johannesburg <\/em>\u2013 Athletics South Africa is excited to launch the ASA Athletix Grand Prix Series in which a total prize incentive of R1\u00a0365\u00a0000.00 is offered to athletes to produce outstanding performances.<\/p>\n<p>This competition will feature three Grand Prix Meetings in March, one month prior to the Commonwealth Games (08 &#8211; 15 April 2018 in Australia).\u00a0 South Africa\u2019s finest will have the ideal opportunity to hone their skills in a competitive environment as part of their global preparations.<\/p>\n<p>These Track &amp; Field Meetings will take place in Johannesburg (Thursday, 01 March 2018), Tshwane (Thursday, 08 March 2018) and Paarl (Thursday, 22 March 2018).<\/p>\n<p>This elite series is intended to host and attract top athletes from around the world to test their best performances in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The Meetings will have a tight programme lasting for 90 minutes.
