Professional Muay Thai fighter, kickboxer, stuntman and personal trainer, Ashley Robinson (Kenilworth) has unfinished business at the IMPI Challenge #1 that will take place at Coetzenburg (Stellenbosch) on Saturday, 06 April 2019.

Robinson made his IMPI Challenge debut in November 2017, but experienced his first IMPI Challenge at Coetzenburg (Stellenbosch) in April 2018 where he placed 10th in the men’s race.

“I love the competition,” says Robinson.  “The IMPI Challenge course at Coetzenburg was fun, but challenging.  I enjoyed the back and forth chase between the athletes.  I struggled mostly with the grip obstacles.  In preparation for this event I have been working on my grip.  I’ve also added some personal obstacle exercises to my martial arts training.  I feel that the combination will give me the upper hand.   The IMPI Challenge is a good mental and physical test.  Taking part in obstacle course races has motivated me further to live a better life.  My goal at the IMPI Challenge #1 is to obtain a podium position.”

Diehard IMPI Challenge Warrior, Luigi Heynes (Bellville) will be back in action at the IMPI Challenge #1.  “I love the competitive, energetic atmosphere and exciting, challenging obstacles,” says Heynes.  “I believe in being challenged by new things in order to grow whether it is mentally, physically or emotionally.  The IMPI Challenge has always ensured that I learn new things about myself.  Each time that I have participated in a race I have been forced to change my approach.  My goal on event day will be to beat my previous finishing time.”
